GPS Booster applications increase performances of GPS on some devices (it is known to work at least on some i5800-Teos and i5801-Naos and Samsung Galaxy X). Those applications use the same algorithm than the test program GPS opt I’ve made previously. So if GPS opt works on your device, GPS Booster will also work.
There are two versions of GPS Boosters:
- GPS Booster Lite is the free version of GPS Booster. It runs only with the 3 first GPS activation after phone’s start and during 5 minutes only. It allows confirming GPS Booster usability on your device.
- GPS Booster that have no limitation.
Both applications share the same principle. They are completely transparent to user. Each time the GPS is activated on your phone, GPS Booster insures that its performance will be maximized. Optimization is independent on how you have activated the GPS. Therefore you can continue to activate the GPS as you want (through menu settings or with your favorite launcher widget).
The main advantage is that you don’t need to start GPS before an application request for it (it was not the case for GPS opt, you always need to think about GPS launch before an application that need it will request it).
